Feature Requests

It would be great to add both internal and/or external notes to individual line items. For example as an internal note; 'camera location to be confirmed on site' or '4x rows of 3 speakers, zoned for voice lift'. Or even during quoting 'Check compatibility of this item with X' or 'Check cable distance for X extender' etc. These notes can be used whilst putting the proposals together at 'quick glance', and can flow on into the project and delivery stage. There are many applications where this would be useful for internal and external (client facing) notes on line items, however I think internal notes would be a priority.

It is very important to allow access to inventory scanning in and out for field users to enable transfer of stock from warehouse to van to client and back again. Especially if products are used in the field that are additional to the work order.

Many web apps function in a way that if you use Chrome’s “Add to Home” function, the icon will open the site in a dedicated applet, and DOESN’T reload the page everytime. As of now, DTools opens a new tab every time. This is EXCRUCIATING. If we are locked into a web app, please make it function like one.

There needs to be a way to add a service plan to a client without going to the Opportunity/Proposal/Won steps. We have about a 110 clients with pre-existing service plans and all I want to do to attach the plan to them in D-Tools.

I would like to be able to see the Rack Units I entered on the opportunity side (not what the client sees) to give me a chance to ensure I have quoted the correct Rack size. Maybe they could self-add like labor? They would have to add up the accessories as well but it would be a really nice feature for us "office personnel" who may not have the field experience to make an educated guess, lol! It would be super helpful if we had the ability to add items and systems to the default locations AND be able to select which default locations & items show up on which proposal template (ie rough-in vs equipment). This would be a huge time saver as there's multiple items we use on every rough-in bid (or every equipment bid) that we currently have to manually enter every single time. I do see an option to add items to a quote template, but there's no option to assign them to a particular location, so I assume they just go to unassigned and we'd have to move them every time?

Requesting that at the end of a Project there is a sign off request that clients need to complete to verify the Project is now complete and all quoted work has been fulfilled

It would be really convenient and helpful if we could see a total number of hours listed somewhere in the overview/summary on an a quote. Currently the only way I can see to find total job hours is to go into design, click on "All Locations" and then scroll to the very bottom to see the overall total.
